The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, is leading a delegation of Commissioners and the Commission’s Secretary, Dr Mustapha M. Ali, to Saudi Arabia to conclude agreements with service providers ahead of the 2026 Hajj.
The trip, scheduled for Monday, 22 September 2025, is in line with the operational calendar released by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah (MoHU), which sets strict deadlines for contracting and payments.
According to the schedule, the period between 6 and 23 September 2025 (15–29 Safar 1447H) is designated for early contracting and payment for Mashair (camps). Essential services, including transportation and accommodation, must be contracted by 23–24 September 2025 (1–2 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447H).
The Ministry also fixed 12 October 2025 (20 Rabi’ al-Thani 1447H) as the deadline for the announcement of pilgrims’ registration and submission of data via the Nusuk platform.
In response, NAHCON has set 8 October 2025 as the deadline for State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, agencies, commissions, and licensed Hajj tour operators to remit Hajj fares for the 2026 pilgrimage.
The Commission urged all stakeholders to adhere strictly to the deadlines to ensure seamless preparations and a successful exercise for Nigerian pilgrims.
